Battery not charging or losing runtime?

When the original cells have deteriorated, rebuilding the battery may allow you to keep using your Ovis suitcase without replacing the entire system. Our service focuses on renewing the cell assembly while retaining the original housing, connectors, and electronics where they remain serviceable.

A battery that will not charge can also have a charger, connector, or circuit-board fault. Inspection determines whether a cell rebuild is appropriate; replacing cells does not resolve every possible failure.

What the $239 service includes

• Initial battery evaluation: inspection of the housing, connections, cell assembly, and original electronics for rebuild suitability.
• Replacement internal cells: new lithium-ion cells selected to match the original pack's electrical requirements and available space.
• Cell assembly rebuild: replacement interconnections and insulation as required, preserving the original configuration.
• Original component reuse: retention of the existing housing, connectors, and protection/charging electronics only where suitable and functional.
• Reassembly and battery testing: charge and discharge checks, capacity evaluation, and checks for abnormal behavior before return.

No automatic substitutions: if inspection reveals a failed board, damaged connector, or housing problem outside the standard rebuild, we will contact you with findings and options before additional work.

Compatibility & original battery specifications

This service is intended for the removable ForwardX Ovis battery identified as OVBP-01, subject to label and connector verification. Other versions require evaluation before acceptance.

These figures describe the original Ovis battery specification. The final rebuilt pack specification is confirmed during evaluation. This listing does not offer an automatic capacity upgrade or a change in chemistry. Matching voltage alone does not establish compatibility.

How the mail-in process works

1. Send us your battery details. Email clear photos of the battery label, connectors, and charger label, along with the symptoms. Let us know about prior repairs, damage, or long-term storage.
2. Confirm the service and shipping. We review compatibility and explain the next steps. Arrange the order and shipment with ULS before sending your battery.
3. Mail your original battery. Follow the packaging and carrier instructions confirmed for your pack. Include your name, order number, email, phone number, and return address. Send the charger only if requested; do not send the suitcase or wristband unless arranged separately.
4. We inspect, rebuild, and test. Once suitability is confirmed and the work is approved, we rebuild the cell assembly and test the battery. Any additional repair requirements are discussed with you.
5. Your rebuilt battery is returned. After successful testing, we prepare the battery for return shipment and provide tracking information.

Service scope & shipping

• The $239 price covers the standard cell rebuild described above. Shipping, applicable taxes, and separately approved repairs are additional.
• Replacement circuit boards, chargers, wristband batteries, suitcase motors, tracking systems, and other suitcase repairs are outside this service.
• If the battery is unsuitable for rebuilding, we will explain the findings and available options. Confirm any evaluation fees, return-shipping costs, and applicable refund terms with ULS before ordering.
• Contact us before shipping a swollen, leaking, overheated, punctured, or otherwise damaged battery. Do not send it using ordinary shipping instructions.
• Customers outside the United States should contact us before purchasing to confirm whether shipment and return service can be arranged.

Frequently asked questions

Do I receive a new ForwardX battery?

No. ULS rebuilds the battery you supply. We reuse suitable original components and replace the internal cells as described.

My battery is completely dead. Can you repair it?

Possibly. A non-charging battery requires diagnosis to distinguish cell deterioration from charger or electronics faults. Send photos and symptoms so we can review the pack before it is mailed in.

Do I need to open the battery myself?

No. Send the battery in its existing housing. Opening the pack is part of our evaluation and rebuild process.

Will it work with my original charger?

The rebuild is intended to preserve the original electrical requirements. Your charger must be compatible and functional; please send its label and connector photos for review. A charger is not included.

Will the suitcase itself be tested?

Standard service includes battery testing. Testing with your actual suitcase or charger is performed only when those items are provided by prior arrangement. Battery bench testing does not verify every suitcase function.

Can I order service for multiple batteries?

Yes. Each battery is evaluated and priced separately. Contact us to arrange a shipment containing multiple packs.

Is ULS affiliated with ForwardX?

United Lithium Solutions is an independent battery service provider. ForwardX and Ovis names are used to identify compatibility. This service is not represented as manufacturer-authorized.
